Anggerik Temasek Bangsawan Singapura (ATB), formerly known as Sri Anggerik Bangsawan (SAB, 1986), was the latter’s rebranded name registered in 2019, Singapore. The leading practising Malay Opera troupe in the island nation, much of ATB’s work is focused on the practice of classic, traditional Bangsawan theatrics, and the regeneration of the art form through education for the community, particularly the young.

Anggerik Temasek seeks to continue the work and legacy of the late Haji Hamid Ahmad or Pak Hamid, as he was affectionately known. Moving with the times, Anggerik Temasek continues to lead in collaborating with other performing arts groups locally and regionally, practising the different genres of Bangsawan that include Comedy, Musical and Experimental. Through active collaboration, Anggerik Temasek believes the revival of the Bangsawan art form will be entrenched, ensuring its longevity and relevance to our community for generations to come.

Stellar School of Dance, Singapore’s premier dance institution, provides professional training for passionate and aspiring young dancers. The school offers a nurturing environment where dancers can explore, learn, and excel, whether they aim to pursue dance as a career or simply for enjoyment. Stellar School of Dance’s comprehensive program includes certifications from the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) and the International Dance Teachers’ Association (IDTA).

In collaboration with Stellar School of Dance, Opera Academy is excited to introduce Hijab Ballet. This initiative allows ballerinas to express their flair and uniqueness while wearing the hijab in both classes and performances, embracing diversity and inclusion in our dance community.
