Dzulkifli Rabull Jalel, also known as Dzul Rabull, is a highly accomplished music composer, arranger, and educator. His musical odyssey began in 1994 when he released his debut instrumental album titled 'Rasuk.' Dzul's compositions are deeply rooted in the traditional and ethnic sounds of the Nusantara region. Throughout his career, he has created six CD albums, five digital albums, and more than 50 singles, earning him a distinguished reputation in the industry.
Dzul's expertise as a music director has led him to collaborate with various arts groups in Singapore, where he has lent his talents to numerous stage productions. Some notable projects include his role as the music director for Bangsawan Raden Mas, the annual Muara Festival, Gemadah Festival, and many others.
Additionally, Dzul imparts his musical knowledge as an educator in schools, teaching Malay traditional music, ethnic percussion instruments, angklung, and gamelan. He is a certified and approved music educator with the Arts and Music Instructors Scheme (AMIS) under the Ministry of Education, and his teaching credentials include a Specialist Diploma in Arts Education from NIE (NTU) and Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) theory and classical piano.
Dzul's extensive list of accomplishments includes serving as a vocal trainer for the Harmoni Orkid choir at Tampines West CC, an ensemble instructor for Madrasah Aljunied Angklung, and a sound artist for 'Mr Magnolia' with the Young People's Performing Arts Ensemble. He has also assumed the role of music director for productions such as Tumasik, Syair Biola, and Dang Anum Bangsawan.
Through his unwavering passion for music, Dzul aspires to pass on his knowledge and ignite a love for music among the younger generation.
