Khaziah Yem holds a Bachelor of Arts in Education, which she earned from the National Institute of Education/National Technological Institute. With over two decades of teaching experience, Khaziah served as a dedicated educator at various primary schools, including Juying Primary School from 1995 to 2011 and Eunos Primary School from 2013 to 2022. Throughout her tenure, she held roles such as Subject Head of the Malay Department and Senior Teacher ML, contributing significantly to curriculum development and student success. 

Khaziah's commitment to excellence in teaching has been recognised through prestigious awards such as the National Day Award for Efficiency Medal in 2007 and the Mother Tongue Award Scholarship in 2011. Additionally, she received the National Day Award for Long Service Medal in 2021, reflecting her dedication and contributions to the field of education.

Beyond the classroom, Khaziah is an accomplished literary figure and art activist, actively promoting Malay language, literature, and culture. Her poems and short stories have been published in prominent newspapers and anthologies, earning her recognition in literary circles. She is also deeply involved in artistic endeavours, participating in performances, workshops, and collaborations with renowned organisations such as Sriwana and ASAS'50.

Khaziah is actively engaged in various community initiatives and partnerships, including collaborations with the National Library Board and participation in literary events. Her passion for promoting language and culture extends beyond Singapore, with her works being recognised and published internationally in countries such as Malaysia and Indonesia.
